It’s time for the big vacations! Where to go in July to disconnect? Bye-bye work, time to relax and discover. This long-awaited period is the opportunity to travel far away, but if you don’t want to go too far, July offers perfect weather all over Europe! Where to go on vacation? Here are our best holiday destinations in July.

Where to go in July 2023?

paradisiacal-beaches

Corsica will satisfy the lovers of paradisiacal beaches with turquoise waters, who will have the impression to be at the end of the world in one hour and a half by plane from Paris

There is always time to discover the north of Europe and the sun that never sets, in Iceland for example.

For those who are not afraid of long distances, why not go to Australia: swimming will be a bit cool but the weather is still pleasant, and you can even ski in the south where it is the heart of winter!

Our favorite: If you want to discover Iceland, July is the ideal month. Even if the weather is variable, the temperature is a little bit higher (between 5°C and 20°C) because the climate is influenced by the ocean, and all the slopes which cross the island are open. Moreover, it never gets dark and birds are present everywhere, as well as marine mammals that enjoy the – relative – warmth of the sunny coasts. You will enjoy the often radiant skies, a nature full of colors, and if you find the ocean a little cool, you will bathe in the hot springs which are legion.

In Europe, it is the vacation period for many countries: this corresponds of course to the best climatic conditions for this part of the world, but also to a very noticeable price increase. For those who are fond of heat, the South (Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Croatia…) and its beaches will meet their expectations, and everywhere else the sunshine will make your visits pleasant, even for the Northern regions (Ireland, England, Scotland, Denmark…). This is the right time to go to Iceland, where temperatures vary between 8°C at night and 15°C during the day… which lasts twenty hours in a row! Those who love swimming and the sun can also explore Albania, Bulgaria, the Canary Islands, or Montenegro.

In Asia, Indonesia remains the leading destination for this period, with its equatorial climate tempered by sea winds. The sunshine is very good despite intermittent rains in the evening or at night, and the temperatures are almost ideal, between 25 and 30°C. Java in particular is very pleasant, and always Bali with its micro-climate. On the other hand, this is probably when the tourist season is in full swing, so you will not be alone! The reasonable period is also for the northern and eastern parts of Sri Lanka.

In Africa, Mauritius can be a good choice since temperatures are still mild, even cool at night, the sky is clear despite scattered showers and a fresh wind is often welcome. The same goes for Madagascar, which also has its dry season, with 28°C on average during the day, and chilly but restful nights at 15°C. As for North Africa, Essaouira on the Atlantic coast of Morocco will be very bearable at this time with a refreshing wind, like Agadir, despite the frequent presence of fog.

In America, Peru and Bolivia are to be preferred at this period, where the rains have stopped to give way to beautiful sunny days, although rather cold in altitude, but dry and bright. It is also the right time for the national parks of the USA, Yosemite Park for example, where you can climb in altitude without fearing too cold temperatures. California and the Rio region in Brazil can also be very pleasant destinations at this time.

In Oceania, visit Northern Australia but also French Polynesia, such as Tahiti or the Leeward Islands, where rainfall becomes rare and sunshine is essential, with average temperatures around 27°C. The Marquesas archipelago has the same type of climate with slightly higher temperatures.

To be avoided: Louisiana, very hot and humid, Senegal, where there is a heat wave accompanied by torrential rains that will certainly spoil your stay, and the whole of Asia, which is still in monsoon season.
